January 16, 2007:
Dear Leos,
I want to wish you a belated happy New Year.
As most of you know, the Leos are co-sponsored by Bellaire High School and the Bellaire Lions Club. At our installation several of your parents expressed an interested in learning more about what the Lions do. The Lions motto is “We Serve” and we live up to the motto by helping people in our community. I am sending this note in hopes that you will let your parents know that I am available to answer questions about the Lions. Our Lions Club would like to encourage your parents to join and assist with the Leo Club and other Lion activities. I can be reached at (713) 728-4310 or email

- Leos are can be between the ages of 12 and 28. However, our Leo Club is mainly teenagers.
- The purpose of the Leo Club is to promote service activities among young people, give Leos the opportunity to educate themselves, and to accumulate experience in leadership and service activities. Being a leo is also about making new friends in the neighbourhood, within the country, and on the international level.
